“I have had a most rare vision. I have had a dream, past the wit of man to say what dream it was”
The cast of 8 professional actors from Essential Theatre will take you on a spell binding ride, as Voyager Estate transforms into the magical land ofAthens in Shakespeare's clever comedy, A Midsummer Night's Dream.
On a Midsummer’s night, four young lovers find themselves wrapped in the dream-like arms of an enchanted forest where sprites play and fairies rule. While a feuding Fairy King and Queen are at war, their paths are crossed by Bottom, Quince and their bumbling mates presenting a play within a play.
Leading mischief-maker Puck is on-hand to ensure that the course of true love is anything but smooth, and games of fantasy, love and dreams ensue in Shakespeare’s most wondrous comedy.
Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream has been loved for over four hundred years and continues to weave it’s spells world wide. Bring the whole family, as this one delights and tickles everyone’s imagination!
