We are delighted to welcome pre-eminent British philosopher, Professor A.C. Grayling, to Voyager Estate for a special lunch and panel discussion on 'The Good Life'.

The author of over thirty books of philosophy, biography, history of ideas, and essays, Professor Grayling CBE MA DPhil (Oxon) FRSA FRSL is the Principal of Northeastern University London and its Professor of Philosophy. He is a columnist in the Guardian, The Times and has contributed to many leading newspapers and radio programs in the UK, US and Australia. 

Joining him for this thought-provoking discussion are facilitator and broadcaster Meri Fatin, artist and author Tineke Van der Eecken, and Voyager Estate Chief Winemaker, Tim Shand. Together, they’ll explore questions such as: What role do wine, food, and travel play in a Good Life? How does indulgence coexist with a Good Life? And how do we preserve the beauty of Margaret River through wine and food?

Enjoy a glass of sparkling on arrival before settling in for a shared lunch in our award-winning Restaurant, where pristine local produce and certified organic wines set the scene for an afternoon of insightful conversation. All the good things.

Tim Shand
Tim is Voyager Estate’s highly accomplished Chief Winemaker, leading our dynamic production team with deep thought, curiosity and vision. He continues to drive our commitment to progressive environmental goals while skilfully guiding grape to bottle and honing our winemaking craft.

Tineke Van der Eecken
Tineke is a Belgian-born Australian interdisciplinary visual artist and a distinguished author of three books. Her work speaks to the fragility of the land, forests and oceans as these undergo tremendous changes, as well as our interconnectedness as humans to influence change.

Meri Fatin
Meri is an experienced facilitator and RTRFM broadcaster with a background in leadership, culture and climate transition. She convenes public conversations on transformative leadership and is the founder of WA Climate Leaders—an informal network inspiring climate action in this critical decade.

As part of his visit, Professor Grayling will be undertaking a week-long ‘Philosopher-in-Residence’ program at Voyager Estate, culminating in this special lunch event.
